Description:
This elegant cylindrical vase celebrates the simplicity of form and allows a focus on the surfaces' tones and textures. The surface of the glass appears to be brushed by frost, with a subtle glisten. A brown hue is applied through the burning of wax onto the surface of the glass, altering in opacity and seamlessly melding with the white tones of the upper body. The colours and tones speak to a chromatic palette taken from nature, with marks of subtle red to further add complexity. The neck of the vase is formed of transparent glass and creates contrast between the reflective sheen and the matte, rough textured body. The shape and colour seamlessly flow, creating a fluidity of form and poetic expression.
