During this time, she harnessed her skill in ceramics and graduated with a BA in 2001, and an MA in 2003. She returned to this same university as a teaching assistant and subsequently became a lecturer. Whilst teaching, Hajeong focused on creating large ceramic works, and soon received the National Award for Craft Art in 2005. She relocated to the UK in 2011, setting up her own studio alongside her husband’s workshop in rural Wales, where she still works today.
