Description
This small seated figure seems to almost take on the form of a chair itself. Its small, carefully whittled head balances out the heft of the bottom half.
Hideo Sawada’s beautifully hand carved figures are a matchless example of a modern application of traditional techniques, balancing the abstract with gentle suggestions of emotion and human form.
