Description
This delicate, thin figure has a unique, curvilinear form; while not necessarily symmetrical, the warped body and slightly-askew head serve to balance each other perfectly.
Hideo Sawada’s beautifully hand carved figures are a matchless example of a modern application of traditional techniques, balancing the abstract with gentle suggestions of emotion and human form.
