Description
This figure balances on a discreet metal support, giving the illusion of levitation. The natural grooves and divots of the wood lend this spectral form a personality of its own.
Hideo Sawada’s beautifully hand carved figures are a matchless example of a modern application of traditional techniques, balancing the abstract with gentle suggestions of emotion and human form.
