Once dry, Jayne carves, bleaches, stains, burns, embellishes, paints, oils and waxes. Jayne describes this process as a dialogue between material, concept, technology and technique.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp dir=\"ltr\"\u003e\u003cspan\u003eThe works possess an exceptional weightlessness; incredibly thin to the touch and balanced upon a singular point. Practising in Eucalyptus, Oak, and Sycamore for this collection, Jayne’s pieces carry a sense of story in their natural surfaces and her hand staining, marking, and painting.
