Its silhouette is soft and curved, forming a calm, rounded body, while the rim is jagged and torn, introducing a raw, irregular edge that disrupts the form.

The interior is finished with a crackle glaze, creating a delicate network of fine lines and detail, while the exterior is smoke fired, producing rich, dark tones and subtle variations in surface. A pre-foundation course in 2008 introduced her to working with clay. Morris hand-builds objects that can be easily inserted into daily life and provide both joy and function. Using an understated and limited colour palette, which draws attention to the silhouettes of her creations, Morris experiments with different stoneware and earthenware clays. Her creative process is intuitive; visualising an image in her mind and then creating it in three-dimensional form - ‘I sketch in clay, making new ideas come to life’. For Morris, this allows her to find inspiration during the process, letting her works organically develop, retaining energy and movement in her pieces.

Read more about Jennifer's practice and view her full collection..

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0233/5583/files/7R1A1701_037c14f5-08b0-44af-8110-0ba48f22df64.jpg?v=1777458644
