Koichi Onozawa Suzu Utsuwa 19

Materials: Stoneware

Method: Hand thrown

This distinctly formed, contoured vessel sings in a deep, burnished Urushi lacquer. Its arresting silhouette is hand-built using traditional Japanese techniques local to the artist's environment. The sculptural, asymmetrical vessel responds well to natural light, accentuating its rich, grey tin powder finish reminiscent of metal.
