LIISA HASHIMOTO

LIISA HASHIMOTO

Liisa Hashimoto is a contemporary artist based in Kobe, Japan, whose sculptural works are inspired by the subtle rhythms of nature and the quiet details of everyday life. Working with copper, nickel, brass, silver, and acrylic, she creates compositions that balance broad metal planes with fine linear structures, exploring relationships between weight and lightness, openness and form.

Her sculptures combine an architectural, almost brutalist presence with a sense of playfulness and delicacy. Bold geometric forms are softened by gentle curves, asymmetrical balances, and warm patinated surfaces that lend depth and character to the work. Through carefully considered arrangements of line, space, and structure, Hashimoto creates objects that feel both grounded and quietly animated, inviting reflection from every angle.
