Wood-turner Tim Plunkett creates functional boards and tableware from wood sourced around his home in Norfolk. He was the youngest person to be accepted to the 'Register of Professional Turners' held by the Worshipful Company of Turners in 1995, just a couple of years after training with the help of the Prince's Trust.
Tim has a BSc in environmental science and participates in opposing the destruction of ancient forests and cultures. His passion for the natural world informs his sustainable approach to life and work. The forms of his pieces are simple, with pure lines, which emphasises the character of wood, embracing their distinctive and beautiful patterning. The wooden boards and tableware are unadorned and are exceptionally durable, made to be used for many years to come.
