Elegant and understated, these hand-thrown porcelain pinch pots combine sculptural form with everyday functionality. Each piece features a soft, fluid shape that curves inward, creating a tactile and visually balanced design. The satin-black exterior contrasts beautifully with the glossy, dark-glazed interior, giving depth and character to the surface.

 Their generous rim and smooth finish make them satisfying to hold and use, embodying both simplicity and refinement.  Every pot is individually crafted, resulting in subtle variations that highlight its handmade origin.

About the Artist:

Jo Davies has worked with clay for around 25 years, focusing exclusively on wheel-thrown porcelain for the last 15. Her work explores shape, form, and how familiar domestic objects can feel subtly different and more tactile. Often beginning with a single functional idea, a ladle, jug, or cup, she refines it into something fluid and simple, with surfaces that highlight form. Based in Herefordshire after 15 years in London, Davies creates her own range, private commissions, and designs for brands such as Union Coffee and Mulberry. She also teaches and published her first book in 2023.
