Description
Made from Cornish stoneware, this small teapot features an iron-wash exterior enriched with ash deposits, giving it a textured, natural finish. The dark Shino liner contrasts beautifully with the earthy tones of the exterior. A carved clay side handle adds a unique, handcrafted touch, while the flat, round shape creates a harmonious balance in both form and function. Fired in the Anagama kiln, this teapot embodies the timeless artistry of traditional ceramic techniques.
About the Artist
Working together under the name Popalini & Jezando, Pop Wilkinson and Jez Anderson make collaboratively designed pots, with a particular focus on teaware. They take influence from the traditional pottery of North Devon, which is where they are both from, and also from the subtle understated forms they admired whilst researching wood-firing in Japan
