Curated by Maud & Mabel, the exhibition explores “skin” as a metaphor for the surfaces of the artists’ works. Hirai and Anzai’s distinct approaches reveal tension: in material and in method.
In allowing these two bodies of work to share space, yAwArAkAi kArA brings forth a conversation between opposites. Here, resilience meets vulnerability, instinct meets precision, and shadow meets light. Thus, the “soft shell” becomes a vessel - not just for clay, but for emotion.
