Care: Protected with an eco hard wax oil but we still recommend to wipe away spillages straight away. For day to day cleaning, simply dust with a soft lint free cloth. If needed, clean with a tiny amount of mild eco washing up liquid and then buff dry.

Description:
English Oak, hand selected for its beautiful scars, grain pattern and medullary rays. Burnt using a similar technique to the ancient Japanese process of shou sugi ban, to give the Oak a dark and textural finish. The thick circular Oak top sits on a base made with large sections of natural edged Oak, giving the table a beautiful sculptural aesthetic. Finished with an eco hard wax oil that leaves the Oak protected and with a natural finish.
About the Artist:
Pachadesign are Glenn Rushbrooke and Samantha Robb, a design/make partnership based on the North Cornwall/North Devon Coast, creating objects, furniture and interiors for considered spaces. Their core design aesthetics are simplicity, minimalism, the enhancement of natural materials and the Japanese view of wabi sabi - an appreciation of beauty in imperfection. Focusing on making pieces with real intention, rooted in ritual and mindfulness, their work evokes a sense of calm and silence.
Glenn and Samantha hand select all of their materials from locally sourced reclaimed and sustainable resources. Materials are chosen for their rawness, their scars, and for how time and the elements have effected them. Working intuitively with English hardwoods and British stones, sometimes incorporating steel and brass also, their pieces balance between the sculptural and the functional.
