Description
Crafted from Cornish stoneware, this teapot features an iron-wash exterior paired with a delicate celadon liner. A striking 24ct gold Kintsugi repair near the lid highlights the beauty of imperfection, adding a touch of elegance and craftsmanship. Wood-fired with soda, the teapot’s surface is enriched by subtle, natural textures. A long ceramic handle extends from the side, complementing the flat lid and short spout, creating a balanced and functional design that showcases both form and artistry.
About the Artist
Working together under the name Popalini & Jezando, Pop Wilkinson and Jez Anderson make collaboratively designed pots, with a particular focus on teaware. They take influence from the traditional pottery of North Devon, which is where they are both from, and also from the subtle understated forms they admired whilst researching wood-firing in Japan
