Christiane Perrochon was born in Geneva, Switzerland in 1942. There she completed her studies at the École des Beaux Arts and the École des Arts Décoratifs, receiving her diploma in ceramics in 1962. After working in private studios and teaching ceramics at the International School of Geneva, she established her own studio as an independent artist in 1971 in Hermance, Geneva. In 1979 she moved to Tuscany, Italy where she presently resides with her partner.
Christiane Perrochon’s fixation with colour has driven her to develop new and rare hues, an exploratory journey she’s been on for over forty years. Along with hand-throwing each of her pieces, the addition of colour grants each and every one of them a unique character.
