About the Artist
Clara Poulantza is a Greek artist and designer living and working between Athens and London. She studied fashion and art in both London and Paris and is the founder of Contessina London, a sustainable fine artisan brand based in London.
Her extensive background in luxury knitwear and sustainable design, primarily as a designer for her family business established by her grandmother in Athens in 1958, combined with her profound appreciation for the intricate allure of lace and fine artisanship, served as a catalyst for her creation of "My Precious Lace."
All her jewelry is handmade with silk, metallic threads and natural healing gemstones. She constantly evolves her collection by creating new colors, adding new concepts and techniques with lace, high aesthetics and environmentally conscious practices being her main focus.
"The Botanical, Naturally Dyed Collection" is her latest and most exquisite artisanal collection, crafted using natural gemstones hand-laced with the finest hand-dyed silk threads, employing pure natural dyes extracted from plants and flowers such as acorn cupules, chamomile flowers, avocado stones, elderberries, and ivy leaves, resulting in a charmingly diverse color palette.
